True to its name, Elephant garlic features large, 1 1/2" cloves that offer a subtly robust flavor akin to garlic. The bulbs of this variety are notably hefty, often weighing a pound or more. Renowned for its ease of peeling and excellent storage quality, each bulb of Elephant garlic typically contains 3-5 cloves. On average, you can expect about 13-16 cloves per pound.
